We’ve been fortunate to have worked on and started some great projects recently, and this lookbook highlights the broad portfolio of work in development and nearing completion. 1065 Tremont Phase 2 will be completed in August and ready for September move-in, the Admiral’s Condominium renovations are on their final punchlist, and Area 207 Salons and Monomoy Residence are complete – ready for photoshoots this summer! One Newcomb Place will start construction soon, while 44 N Beacon will be submitted for permit early summer. We have a few more projects in the pipeline, stay tuned for more updates!

We can’t reveal the project just yet, but we can show you some existing conditions photos. It’s an adaptive reuse project to re-envision a dilapidated industrial building into a vibrant new typology…stay tuned!

The building is fully enclosed, and the finishes are well underway. Paint has started, and bathroom finishes are being installed. The wood floors will be laid later this month, just before the millwork is installed. The landscape that was planted last fall will start to grow in with the spring, and we’re looking forward to the project being complete come early spring!
Also, see Tradern Fine Woodworking’s Instagram post at the end for a sneak peek at our hidden ships ladder to the roof deck!

We’re very happy with the quality and attention to detail of our woodworker on the project, Tradern Fine Woodworking. Check out their Instagram for more of their great work.

The arches are being framed for the barrel vault ceiling at 50 Boatswain’s Way, and the coffered ceiling structure is starting to take shape at 100 Boatswain’s Way. Wainscot paneling is also being installed in the corridors of both buildings. These design details are already giving us a preview of how different these spaces will feel once completed!

After a collaborative and fruitful process with the BPDA, city, and community – our project has been approved by the BPDA Board, allowing us to proceed with permit documentation. The 30 unit rental building will have dedicated unit decks, large windows for ample daylighting, and off-street parking. We look forward to developing this project further, and start construction in fall 2019. See the link below to our dedicated project page for more info.

Designed and constructed in Australia, our custom skylight from Tilt is on en route. Due to arrive this week, Tilt also sent us a commissioning video showing its operation. Made of stainless steel and with a minimal design – its clean profile will be a beautiful addition to the roof, allowing access to the deck in conjunction with a hidden sliding ship’s ladder. Take a peek at the skylight in the video below!

We are excited to announce that we will work with CBT as Associate Architects to realize a 150 key boutique hotel in the former Hotel Alexandra building on Massachusetts Ave, just blocks from our office in South End! The project will bring to fruition a long held desire by the community to restore and revitalize the historic High Victorian Gothic architecture; as well as bring back a once proud and vibrant hotel experience to the area. The project has just been filed with the city, stay tuned for more updates!

We are excited to announce that construction is officially underway at 50 & 100 Boatswain’s Way in Chelsea, MA. This project consists of renovations at two condominium buildings, including full lobby and corridor interiors. Once completed, both buildings will work together to achieve a cohesive overall design scheme while still maintaining their own unique identities.

The office took a site visit to see the progress at 1065 Tremont Phase 2. It was a nice day and the floor-to-ceiling bay windows were just installed for us to stand in. The view is spectacular! The expansive glass really lets you feel as if you’re out in space when standing in the bay. The windows also let in tons of light, we’re sure future tenants will appreciate the expansive views and ample daylight. Thanks to Haycon Building, our GC, for letting us tour the site and the great work.
